Overview and positioning of Enovos
Enovos is Luxembourg’s leading energy supplier. Majority-owned by public stakeholders (State, municipalities, City of Luxembourg, SNCI) via the Encevo group, it combines electricity and gas supply, its own renewable generation and a range of services (electric mobility, renovation grants) that make it a complete energy partner rather than a mere supplier.
Both a generator and a supplier, Enovos stands out with:
- ✓ A complete energy offer — electricity and gas from the same supplier, with the option to bundle both on a single bill (dual pack).
- ✓ 100% green energy — TÜV-certified naturstroum electricity, climate-neutral gas, and the premium nova naturstroum / nova naturgas option (locally sourced energy).
- ✓ The Enoprimes programme — grants for your energy-renovation works, on top of state aid.
- ✓ Electric mobility — the enodrive charging network (one badge to charge across Europe) and a dedicated EV plan.
The point to watch
Price is the only real trade-off: Enovos is well positioned and often has the cheapest fixed-price offers, but some alternatives (local wind, cooperative) can be more advantageous depending on your profile. That’s exactly what our electricity comparator and gas comparator let you check in real time.
Enovos offers in June 2026
Enovos has the widest range on the market: fixed- or market-price electricity contracts, a dynamic tariff, an EV plan, and two natural-gas contracts. As prices change regularly, find up-to-date rates and the comparison with other suppliers on our comparators.
Electricity contracts
- ✓ naturstroum FIX — 100% green electricity at a fixed price guaranteed for up to 3 years, protecting you from market volatility. Often the cheapest residential offer.
- ✓ naturstroum home — 100% green electricity at market price, to benefit from price drops.
- ✓ dynamic naturstroum — dynamic tariff indexed to the EPEX Spot market (for homes with a smart meter able to shift consumption).
- ✓ EV plan (DRIVE) — designed for home charging.

Natural-gas contracts
- ✓ FIX naturgas — fixed-price (2 years) gas, 100% climate-neutral. Often the cheapest gas on the market.
- ✓ naturgas home — market-price gas, with consumption tracking via the MyEnovos app.
- ✓ nova naturgas option — locally and European-sourced biogas.

The Enovos group: Leo, NordEnergie, Steinergy and the Electris takeover
To read the market correctly: three other « suppliers » listed by the ILR are in fact regional brands of the Enovos group (Encevo) distributing exactly the same offers (naturstroum, nova naturstroum). In addition, Enovos took over Electris’s residential supply on 1 January 2025.
- ✓ Leo (Luxembourg Energy Office) — the City of Luxembourg brand, a 100% Enovos subsidiary since 2010.
- ✓ NordEnergie — the North brand (Ettelbruck and Diekirch), co-owned with Enovos.
- ✓ Steinergy — the Steinfort-area brand, co-owned with Enovos.
- ✓ Electris (ex-Hoffmann Frères) — since 1 January 2025, its electricity and gas supply to households has been taken over by Enovos. The Electris brand now focuses on energy services (solar, heat pumps, charging) and no longer supplies residential energy.
The distribution network is operated by Creos, also an Encevo subsidiary — but this doesn’t affect your freedom to choose any supplier. See all energy providers.
How to contact Enovos customer service?
For any commercial, contract or billing question, several channels are available:
- ✓ By phone — multilingual advisers on +352 27 37 1.
- ✓ Online — via the official contact form.
- ✓ Customer area — already a customer? Manage everything on my.enovos.lu.
- ✓ In store — the enoshops in Luxembourg, Esch-sur-Alzette, Bertrange… (store locator).
What to do in case of an outage or problem?
Key point: a power cut or a gas leak is not reported to the supplier, but to the network operator Creos, which runs the infrastructure and responds 24/7. Your supplier (Enovos) only handles the commercial side (contract, billing).
⚡ Power cut — call Creos on 8002-9900 (24/7, free).
🔥 Gas smell or leak — leave the premises, do not operate any switch, then call Creos on 8007-3001 (24/7).
📄 Billing, contract or moving-in issue — contact Enovos customer service (see above).
Good to know: switching supplier or having a commercial dispute never causes a power cut — supply is guaranteed by Creos whatever your supplier. For an unresolved dispute, the energy mediator (ILR) can be contacted.
The history of Enovos in Luxembourg
Enovos’s history is tied to the country’s energy development. It began in 1928 with the creation of the Compagnie Grand-Ducale d’Électricité (Cegedel). In 2009, the merger of Cegedel, Soteg and Saar Ferngas created Enovos. The following year, the group integrated Leo, the City of Luxembourg’s supplier.
From the 2010s, Enovos undertook its transformation: launch of the 100% green naturstroum offers, the Enoprimes renovation programme, then the my.enovos.lu customer area and the enodrive electric-mobility programme. More recently, the group has strengthened its role as a central player in the energy transition: renewable generation (solar, wind), charging stations, solar self-consumption, and the takeover of Electris’s residential supply in 2025.
Frequently asked questions — Enovos
Is Enovos a reliable supplier?
Yes. Enovos is Luxembourg’s incumbent and leading supplier (around 75% market share per the ILR), majority-owned by public stakeholders via the Encevo group. Its financial and operational solidity makes it one of the most reliable suppliers in the country.
What is the difference between Enovos and Creos?
Enovos is your supplier (it sells the contract, energy and services). Creos is the network operator (it physically delivers electricity and gas, reads meters and responds to outages), as a regulated monopoly. Both belong to the Encevo group, but you remain free to choose any supplier without changing your network.
What should I do in case of a power cut or gas leak with Enovos?
An outage or leak is reported to Creos, the network operator, available 24/7: 8002-9900 for electricity and 8007-3001 for gas. If you smell gas, leave the premises and do not operate any switch. For a billing or contract question, contact Enovos customer service on +352 27 37 1.
Are Leo, NordEnergie and Steinergy different from Enovos?

Is Enovos the cheapest supplier?
